Reactive Armour absorb partial damage, or full damage if it is too low. Still I am not sure it takes penetration into account or not.
You'll see some PVP installed reactive armour on all girls so player with weak attack cannot do much damage on them. Likely some rich or lucky guys got lots of reactive armour from forge. But with enough firepower you can one shot them anyway.
Scout value depends on your enemy. In some extreme case such as 6 you will lose anyway so just completely ignore it and take your scout away. For common practice one dedicated scout is enough, such as the Gold 38T, or install detection equipment on 2 girls. Please note that although you can obtain lot of early from 2-4 but i suggest not to waste on them and wait for promoted unit to install which is much stronger. You won't need much scouting in early game (before map8) just make sure your heavy can withstand enemy fire and your SPG can one shot everything (maybe except boss or heavys)
So the ammo upgrade "Carbonized APCR" makes no sense as is. Could someone explain it to me?What it seems to say is- the round has more penetration and less power than the previous Round but at the same time has an extra effect "affected by targets armor, less armor preferred" that suggests the round is LESS effective than the the previous round against armored targets. Is this just a junk round or is the effect not being translated it explained properly? Thanks.
The game translation is "Affected by target's armour, low armour targets prefererred". Not fully sure but I think it just means that it deals high damage to weak targets due to it's penetration power. Weak targets are easily penetrated, therefore it deals more damage even with less firepower. Heavily armoured targets can't be penetrated, and the firepower isn't enough to deal substantial damage.
In APCR case, the Chinese just comment "hardened is bad, tempered is good" and i don't know how it works anyway. Clearly tempered will ignore partial enemy armor, and maybe hardened works in another way, but give bigger penetration stat than others (So your pen stat is higher, but enemy armor also increased too)
On the note of t-34m, I feel like I need another co-tanker simply because "stray" shots keep hitting my other tanks even though the stealth difference is at least 50. Of course I can develop is-2 but that's kinda defeat the purpose of focusing on medium armor. I have pz3L but she's not a tanker material and can take too much damage. So are there any other good mt right now in our version that can act as co-tanker to t-34m?
Any advice on what's the most effective/efficient way to increase penetration? Farming the equips took ages and not sure if it's worth it trying to gamble for them in BWMG. Teching up requires codons and resources which you need for tank dev also. Or there's nothing really to do but be patient?
Huh, so type of tanks sent to lifestyle will effect the equips drop, didn't know about that. Seems like there's really nothing else to do but be patient with slow progress. I might gamble at refactor but I'm considering saving my refactor resources for later when I upgrade it to level 2 to have a chance at N5 tanks.
guys need help)) i dont know is SPG better Katyusha m13 or SU-8 ? now in my primary team i have m7b1 priest 75** and m7b2 priest 70***, but B1 need change for gold girl, SU-8 i not have, but its not problem take her from R&D. Or maybe ATG Archer? This is good ATG? Me need change m7b1 for Good Damage(gold girl).
Or do not waste resources for promote now and wait N5 R&D M44 SPG?
And M37 SPG from "Event" good? M37 or M44? its later.
Katyusha M13 and SU-8 are both pretty good. Just go with Katyusha though, since you don't even have SU-8 yet. M37 is good, yes. She's a bit weaker than M44 stat-wise and needs dogtags, but has Silent engine.
Do we have a guideline on how much frp+pen are needed to beat certain amount of armor? Say, if I want to deal like 25% damage of total hp to a 3k armor maiden in a single hit, how much frp+pen are needed ignoring other effects? Or are there just too many factors and variables?
There is a data called "AP rate" in the battle report, but sadly i still can't figure out how it works. There is a formula in official site but it looks rather strange to me, maybe some translation problem ?
At least i am sure that AP rate will increase if your penetration is higher, that let you deal higher damage to target. AP rate counts crit effects too, so tanks with good crit def/resist always have low AP rate against them - if your armor is high enough of course.
I'm pretty sure "AP rate" takes into account your frp also, so basically frp+pen-enemyarmor equals your damage but of course it's not as simple as adding and substracting. Plus, sometimes "AP Rate" could go over 100% which doesn't really makes sense to me. I would expect that pen won't increase your damage further once you manage to overcome the enemy armor but I dunno, you said it will just continue to add damage?
Anyway, I've read that when you get to 24-4 ideally your damage dealers should have 3k pen and your meatshield should have 4k armor. 3k pen is already considered enough for end game on the other hand end game frp should be around 8k-10k(?).
You will get bonus penetration in certain condition, such as, in desert map and target has no dust proof engine. or no cold proof engine in snow map. Firepower never included in AP rate - just affected by it - a lot.
I am not sure is that possible to achieve 10k firepower when you are in map 24, M44 can be closest girl you can have 10k firepower (not counting all those N6 unit) but 24-4 is not that friendly to SPG and have lots of light unit with high evasion... and of course boss hit very hard.
I thought they will reduce evasion as indicated before battle or is this another hidden effect? Not sure about firepower not included in AP rate as I had maiden with higher pen having lower AP rate than one with lower pen but higher frp towards the same target. And no, no ammo effect, no he debuff, no richochet, no crit.
I think Sturmtiger can reach 10k frp but her accuracy is bad if I'm not mistaken, doesn't stop some people from bringing her to 24-4 probably they buff her accuracy through equipments and high chassis tech. Sooner or later people will be able to S 24-4 with whatever setup they want anyway so it's not such a big deal in the end unless if you're the rushing type.
How's the comparison between the N6 HTs IS-2m, King Tiger, and T29E3? I know IS-2m has the better hidden qualities so do the other two have other edge to bring to the table? If I'm not wrong King Tiger like her predecessors has cold and dust/sand engine.
IS2m still the best heavy around (except desert maps, where black prince is better), compare KT to tiger E, KT has less hp but better armor and evasion, not sure who is better because KT maybe not that popular in chinese community. T29E3 focus on firepower (close to Is2m level), weaker armor and evasion but immune from dirt forest, that doesn't mean she is the best heavy tank for dirt forest because there are better meatshield around.

From what I've gathered from google translated chinese forum, they think that KT is not that much better from Tiger E and can even take more damage than Tiger E in some cases. They blame the worse hidden qualities for this. Pretty funny that an upgrade has worse hidden qualities. Seems like the devs intended for them to be a balancing factor but in practice they've become very important for meatshields. What other meatshields are on your mind? ATGs?
still regular one like IS2(m) or tigers, maybe M6A1(2) too, because there are no armor debuff in dirt forest and all heavy still able to tank for the team well. For PVE (story map) you may consider full LT/MT/ATG because unlike player, their evasion can dodge nicely there without taking much hit and reach maximum firepower. Wont works for player because a good player always has high targeting.
i have a fast question regarding reactive Armor, what happens if i equip more than 1 piece to the same tank? dose the damage absorbtion increase (I.E. can block 1024 instead of 512 for 2 T3) or dose it last longer until it breaks? and is it really worth it?
My main squad right now is T-34M, B2, Panzer 3L, T-60, Su-8, T-60/BM. Finished S ranking ch19. Need advice on R&D focus. I mean do I focus on getting N6 maidens like IS-2m (is it even possible to reach and B rank ch 21 with my current setup?) or getting N5 maidens to use in my squad? I'm considering building 251 rocket lav or another apds user like AMX-13 Diesel or Firefly but not sure if I really need them right now/make big differences or if I should just save resources for IS-2m.
I don't understand why my T-60/BM rocket spg which has better firepower and penetration than my SU-8 dealt less damage and AP rate to the same target in non-frp&pen reducing terrain. Their respective ammos don't have any effect that modify pen or the like. Confused.
I continued to observe SU-8 vs. T-60/BM damage output for some time and the results are disappointing. In non-forest and/or dirt terrain SU-8 beats T-60/BM in terms of damage output and AP rate consistently (no critical). This is even though my T-60/BM has better firepower and penetration than SU-8, not by a large margin but still better as in it has a higher number. Ammo effect is normal like I said before. In dirt map, T-60/BM with her anti-dirt chassis can beat SU-8 damage output but only about 500 or so. So yeah, an N5 maiden (which consumes a lot of resources to build) ridiculously loses out to a forge N3 maiden in terms of damage output even if she has better stats. I don't know how this happened or if I overlooked some factor if someone knows please explain to me. What a downer this is.
But since infantry damage is modified by penetration I guess they might be as well the same. Guess this means rockets are only viable late game when your tech is souped up. I mean if you're pen is 3000, you're only getting 2250 effective pen. That's really underwhelming. I guess the dev balanced it that way because of rocket's multi-hit ability though 75% is a bit too low imo.
Sorry for the confusion, by Rocket SPG I also meant rocket users such as Sturmtiger and 251. The thing is there's really not a lot of choice for SPG (the class) in late game. For HE, mostly there are M44 SPG and Tiger SPG which will be a pain to acquire if you don't invest in the line from the start. The SU SPG line which is the one I have kinda doesn't go anywhere right now. Meanwhile, I already have 251 and it's also a path to Sturmtiger so I'm very tempted to just make HE a lower priority since I'm already half deep in the water for the Sturmtiger line whereas I'm practically zero for M44 or Tiger SPG.
I have a question. Everytime you want to consume a maiden, it gives you a warning that you would have to get her again and level her again. But as soon as my Sherman IV reched max lvl, it didn't show the warning anymore. Does that mean, that if I would consume her, her lvl will stay and I just would have to get her again? (Btw, this is only a theoratical question. I never consumed a maiden and I won't start with it now.)
I think it's that your Maiden's level persists in R&D after consuming, but you would have to level her from 1 if you obtained her again. A max level maiden will always be usable for crafting, even after being consumed.
Let's say you had a tank at level 60 and needed them to be level 15 and 75 for R&Ding other maidens. If you consumed her, you would be able to make the level 15 maiden, but you would need to go from level 1-75 for the other maiden.
Talking about 24-4, 3400+ armor or your two heavy may die, 700+ targeting or miss a lot in first and boss node. For tank girls cheap gold M3 works well there, as well as more expensive 251 if you have plans there - and pray M3 hit 3 targets with infantry in boss node
Not sure if this is the right place for my questions since this is my first time in this wikia. I guess I'm playing the english version, the one titled Panzer Waltz. Anyway...
1. Nelly Rommel or Nelly Wagner? As in the Nelly that is Lena and Prima's superior. She introduces herself in the dialogue as Nelly Rommel, but the dialogue name space has Nelly Wagner on it. She's also introduced as General Rommel's daughter, but then I think I saw a "General Wagner" somewhere else, just can't remember where I saw it. And then her sister Rebecca, who's also got the same surname issue. So which one is really their official surname? Rommel or Wagner? (I'm 99.9% sure Nelly and Rebecca had Rommel in their dialogue name space when I started playing.)
I also remember Rebecca's teammates, Leah and Lumina, having different surnames in dialogue and in dialogue name space.
2. So if the Rommels and Wagners are the same people, does that mean the Nelly and Rebecca that the protagonist knows are the Jagdtiger and Panzer IV Ausf.G (H) that are currently named Wagner?
3. The violet tank Jagdtiger (88mm). Her name is also Nelly Wagner. Is she the same Nelly that the protagonist met? The same with Mocha Meretskova. Is the violet and orange really both her?
I'm having trouble choosing which names I should believe now with all these mismatching names from the game itself. And then there's the maidens with different names with the same faces too, aside from the ones represented by the Coming Soon girl. I thought I'd ask here instead of the Panzer Waltz wikia since it looks more active, and if I'm looking for their real official names people playing other versions would probably know the answer better. Thanks.
Nelly is my favorite character so I'd at least want to confirm the Rommel and Wagner thing before prioritizing the Jagdtiger over the others that I want and can get more easily.
dev changed their name and setting in the past, at first SU-5 and 8 has different name but now both are mocha. Sure both jagdtiger (88mm and 128mm) are same character. Tbh i am rather confused about their story and setting too, and dont know when they can finish first 24 chapters
I would like to know if the story is planned to be continued past chapter 14. (Steam version)
And if it's going to continue are there already planes when it's done?
Becouse until now the Story was my main reason to play the game.
