There are various items in Panzer Waltz that can be used for various different things.
Resources are for development and can be used in purchasing technology and research and development. The main method of obtaining resources is through events and the specials, but the naval port can be a good source if you have the silver and the luck. As you progress to higher tiers, the number of resources needed for S&T/R&D will significantly increase.
Equipment is placed directly onto your maidens in various different slots and provides straight upgrades to certain attributes, or unique effects that can be beneficial in the various stages of combat. Equipment can be placed into 7 slots (number varies by type and tank rarity}:Turret, Mod, External, Cabin, Internal, Carriage and Special. Equipment also comes in various tiers, and duplicates can be fused with codon and resources to produce that equipment of a higher tier.
Attires are duplicates of your maidens and can be used to enhance certain attributes for an amount of codon. If you get rid of one of your maidens and have her attire, you can consume an attire to bring her back into service. The type and rarity of attire will determine what attribute is raised and by how much.
