Introduction[]

There are currently 7 different types of shell in Metal Waltz, each one having its own tech tree that spans 18 different levels across three tiers. Different levels can be researched with science, and individual shells can be purchased with science and blueprints.

Certain types of tank can only equip certain shells, and each shell comes with its own attributes and various effects.

Researched shells provide bonus effects that can prove beneficial in combat:

Shell Bonuses

Tracer Tracer Increases the target's chance to be targeted more often
Capped Capped Reduces chance of ricochet against special armours
Assault Assault The closer the target, the greater the penetration
Quickfire Quickfire Quickfire clip increases damage by a certain percentage
Composite-rigid Composite-Rigid The closer the target, the greater the firepower
Hardenedammo Hardened Affected by target's armour, less armour is prefered
Temperedammo Tempered Target's armour is less effective
Discarding-Sabot Discarding-Sabot Ignores a portion of the target's armour
Spinning Spinning Reduces chance of ricochet against special armours
Rod-cap Rod-Cap Reduces chance of ricochet against special armours
Burst Burst Debuffs the target, reducing their armour
High-explosive High-Explosive Target's armour is less effective
Extended-range Extended-Range Has a longer range than similar weapons
Fragment Fragment Chance to hit an additional target during shelling
Multi-launch Multi-Launch Chance to hit an additional target during shelling
Molten Molten Increases burning effect from combustion
Multi-launch2 Multi-Launch Chance to hit up to two targets during shelling
EFP EFP Affected by target's armour, less armour is prefered
MSC MSC Target's armour is less effective
Tandem Tandem Reduces chance of ricochet against special armours
Shockwave Shockwave Increases critical chance by decreasing critical damage
